Winter temps  are usually 60's or 70's  so spend your winters playing in the sun . We don't shovel snow, scrape ice off the windows or bundle up in uncomfortable coats.   Instead we fish, golf, hike, walk and boat.  Life is too short to spend your time dealing with the weather.  Come to Havasu - It's a low maintenance lifestyle year round.

Golf year round in Lake Havasu.  There are 4  great golf courses in Lake Havasu plus several more within an hours drive 

Boating activities from a relaxing canoe or kayak trip to wild and adventurous jet skiis, speed boats and family boating . Lake Havasu is popular for every type of boating: 

  • Fishing (  year round) for bass, crappie, catfish,and stripers. Several major fishing tournaments are held in Lake Havasu every year.  
  • Try your  jet skiis, waterskiis, wake boards or tubing.  Lake Havasu has been home for many years to Championship Jet Ski and Water Ski competitions.

         You can rent  everything from a jet ski, fishing boat, pleasure boat, pontoon or houseboat.   The lake features hundreds of miles of shoreline for day use and even some  overnight camping areas.  Launch at either Windsor Beach State Park, Site Six or one of a couple of Marinas.

Fun in the Sun on public beaches.  Rotary Park, Windsor Beach State Park, Crazy Horse Campground and the Channel beaches are available for fun in the sun.  Rotary Park features picnic gazebos, BBQ grills, sand volleyball courts, swimming area, childrens playgrounds, walking trails and paths and even a skate park.   Bring your furry friends we even have a great doggie park for your canine pals to make some pals of their own.

Jeeping or ATV's offer exciting  activities for desert enthusiasts. Enjoy some of the nearby trails at the city's edge or venture out for a full day exploring old mining sites, the famous "Desert Bar" , The Needle and more.   Jeeping and four wheeler guide books are available at several outlets and book stores.

Hiking in  the desert is also a great way to spend some quality time with family and friends. You'll find some easy trails and some "better know what you're doing " trails as well.  The Bureau of Land Management or Park Service can assist you with information on hiking trails . Contact the local 4x4 Jeep club for special events and rides.

              REMEMBER AND RESPECT THE DESERT

IT'S A GREAT PLACE AND WILL PROVIDE DAYS OF FUN BUT ALWAYS CARRY PLENTY OF WATER AND HIKE OR PLAY SAFELY !!!     Go only with a companion, let someone know your plans and expected time out. Wear appropriate clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for shade.

  • You'll find dozens of restaurants offering every type of food and in every price range.  Lots of   motel/hotels , vacation rental condos and homes. 
  • Movies of Havasu offers  the latest in Movies in comfortable seats.  Matinees or evening showtimes.
  • Several local bars offer Karoke and a few offer DJ's or live music  
  • Don't have a boat or  want to rent one?    Ride the Dreamcatcher Ferry across the lake to Havasu Landing.   A small Indian Casino with a good restaurant and bar.   It's inexpensive and you can ride the top to feel the wind or tuck in the enclosed lower section sit back and enjoy the full view of Lake Havasu City from the other side.
  • Visit the Lake Havasu Historical Society Museum to learn about the area, the story of the Famous London Bridge and the  ancient Indian tribes that inhabited the area before the lake.
  • Every year there are events such as Rods N Relics Run to the Sun antique car show rally, motorcycle  & bike rallies, winterfest, Western Pyrotechnics Assoc convention and firework displays.   Poker Runs, Sailing Boat Regattas, Speed Boat Regattas, Boat speed Races, Garage sales, Swap Meet, Rodeos, Car Races and so much more.
  • For a Christmas Holiday Experience you will never forget.   Come to see Lake Havasu's world famous Boat Parade of Lights.  A holiday parade on the water featuring some truly fantastic boat/floats.  Decorated in outstanding style with lights, entertainment  and holiday fun.  You won't soon forget  this show !!!

     Lake Havasu is just a short trip  (1/2 or full day) from other exciting activities and events. 

  • Laughlin Nevada 1 hour  offers over a dozen Casinos for gambling, entertainment, great restaurants, shopping, and special events.
  • Las Vegas is just a 2 1/2 hour drive to the City of a Billion Lights.
  • Phoenix  is about 3 hours away and offers more golf, dining, entertainment , major sports (football-baseball- basketball and soccer)
  • Algadones , Mexico is about 3 hours away for the *Mexican shopping and dining experience.
  • The Southern California Coast and Beaches are 1/2 day drive to the ocean, Sea World, Disneyland and even more  fun things to do
  • The Grand Canyon ( one of the 7 natural wonders of the world) is only 3 hours away. Take a ride on the Grand Canyon Railroad  or visit by your own car and use the shuttle services.  It is truly a magnificent sight !!
  • Sedona Arizona and surrounding cities  (about 3 hours) offer a  getaway with unique and fabulous scenery, art galleries, museums, dining and other attractions
  • Oatman , Arizona is just an hour away for an * OLD WEST town feeling.  Enjoy a trip back in time. See wild burros that wander into this quaint historical town everyday.  You'll love  the "babies" and they are just delightful for families with young children.   At  High Noon everyday there is a bank robbery complete with sheriff and bad guys from the old west in a six gun shootout. 

    You will always find something to do in or around Beautiful Lake Havasu.  Even if it's relaxing and enjoying our gorgeous sunsets over the mountains and lake.
